Girl didn't respond to my text... what next?

I was at work the other day when a coworker gave me the number of her best friend (who also happens to work at the same place) and said I should text her. I had never met the this girl before and was a little nervous about the idea but she reassured me that her friend would be into me... I stalled for a couple of days but finally garnered up enough courage to pop her a message. I said something like " Hey! Is this Britt?" She responded within a couple seconds, saying yes it was and then asking who I was. I told her my name, said something about us working at the same place, and then explained this girl had told me to text her. 15 minutes go by. Nothing. An hour passes. Still nothing. I'm like, "Okay, she definitely thinks I'm a creep." So I text her again, telling her the coworkers name and that the whole thing was her idea. Never got a response... Now what. Should I try texting her again? Or just move on? I don't want to come off as totally crazy about her, cause I'm not (I still don't know much about her). I was just hoping to get a little further than the second reply. :) If I do end up texting her, what should I say? I'm such a noob when it comes to girls... Thanks for the help!
