Did you give any thought to today's Religulous Christian Rapture Delusion Prediction?

(Three part question) :American Christian radio host Harold Camping stated that the Rapture (in a specific tradition of pre-millennial theology, the taking up into heaven of God's elect people) would take place today: May 21, 2011. His theory was based on numerological and biblical delusion combinations that almost garnered enough evidence to pay the slightest mind to his psychotic outpouring. This prediction was not as note worthy or robust as the 11:11 am on Friday,December 21, 2012 Mayan/Egyptian/numerological/I-Ching prediction. Do you think the 2012 prediction has any merit or will we be wiping the egg off of our faces on 12/22/12? Lastly, will humanity ever be educated enough to accept the fact that religious scripture should not be taken literally?
