My fish's fins look as if maybe they were torn?

I have a Betta fish and i think that the end of his fins look a little shorter too.. but im not positive :/ My guess is that he got caught in the filter thing because when he gets too close he gets sucked in and sometimes he just sits their.. but i havent seen him get sucked in sense i cleaned his tank.. I have a legal question?

I have 2 charges against me in municipal court, 1 domestic violence and 1 criminal trespass, which ultimately lead to my ex garnering a restraining order against me. My question is this, in the state of new jersey when a final restraining order has been issued when should I have it repealed. I mean both charges were found in municipal court. I am not saying I was not at fault I am saying that I want to fix and change everything that has happened. turn a new leaf so to speak. my actions and all of these cases against me have hampered my chances of gaining a better job for myself. I have a son and right now I am stuck in a dead end job because I fear that if i apply anywhere else they will do a background check and find out all of these things against me I wouldn't be able to work anywhere even if I wanted too. All I am saying is I am under the understanding that to get a judge to remotely even budge on a restraining order you have to at least have a clean record. I was figuring I would wait to have my previous charges expunged in the state of new jersey (apparently you have to wait 2 years after the last conviction) and then push to have my restraining order appealed. My other question is as far as finding employment do I have to tell future employers of my past. Remember all charges were found in municipal courts and not felonies or criminal charges.

I was going to Burger King in Garner, NC and the cashier/manager was laughing at my brother. He is autistic and has a learning disability. Another 1997 lincoln continental overheating problem....?

It started over heating about 4months ago. Me and my step dad changed the thermostat, but it was still overheating. I took it to a Quality auo shop and the fixed it, but they didnt pressure test it when they put it out of the door. after i took it back and after the mechanic got it all sorted out for the second time he pressure tested it and all was good. About 1-2 months after it was all fixed an was running good, i was going to town to go to the movies and it overheated. I was puzzled, luckily my cousin who is a cop was on duty and happened to drive by me with the cloud of smoke pooring out of my hood. He gave it a look and it was a cracked radiator. (yah, fml) After that i got it towd to the DEALER and they replaced my radiator, but the mechanic didnt hook the trans hose to the radiator with a clamp, as you know, trans started leaking when i ws driving around town and as soon as i went to get on the highway, i put the petal down and boom, trans hose popped off, shot my trans. So i had to get it towd again to the dealer, (with in the same week) and they got everything fixed (for free!!) So up to this point i have a new T stat, new radiator, and a new trans (which dont matter for cooling syatems). Anyway, it started overheating about 6 days ago, so me and my step dad and my unlce checked it out, and my unlce said it was some air in the system, so he bleed the cooling system and it has been running good since this morning when it OVERHEATED AGAIN! I have an appointment with a THIRD mechanic on 6-20-2011. My question was any thoughts on WTF is wrong with my POS car??, hahaha

Well, after interviewing with a company in Chicago a couple weeks ago, they just extended an offer to me today and I told them I would have an answer by the end of the week. It's a good company and the pay is along the lines of what I'm looking for, but now I obviously have to relocate. A part of me really wants to go, because Chicago is a great city with a lot of educated professionals, culture, beautiful architecture, and generally has a lot to offer, but is it worth leaving the sunshine and warm climate here in Miami to go to the freezing midwest?? So on saturday, I'm going to a small town in Florida between Seaside and Destin for a week. My extended family is going to be there, as it is normally a family vacation. This year, however, I am bringing a friend with me. I was thinking about asking my parents to drop us off at Seaside one or two days because Seaside is a little more lively than the small town our condo is in. I'm hesitant to ask for two reasons: 1) it is a family vacation and I don't think they want us to split up and 2) my parent never want to worry about ANYTHING on this vacation and only want to sit opn the beach all day. Why is it "bad" that my husband works in a restaurant?

So, my "wonderful" extended family is having a BBQ for the 4th, and everyone is invited! Except for me and my husband, of course. When it's JUST family, we are always invited, but when people outside the family are present (people to impress!), we are not included in a vary blatant way. My family fits the bill of "affluent conservative republicans" to a T. I am the little, unspoken "black mark" on my family tree because I grew up and married someone I loved, not for the money. The very same reason my parents were outcasts for many many years (my dad married a woman who wanted to be a housewife instead of a lawyer! Gasp!). The whole issue is about the fact my husband is happy working in a restaurant, and I'm happy working retail part time. It would be generous to say we earn half of what the next lowest earning member of my family does combined, yet somehow, were the only one of my "generation" (my cousins and second cousins) who have never had to ask for monetary help. We don't have 3 brand new Mercedes in the driveway, but we've also never carried debt, have an actual savings account, and actually have time to spend together after work and on weekends. We budget our money well, and while we don't have luxuries like tv, we do save on our gym memberships by taking hikes and going camping all the time (much better than any tv in my opinion). Our jobs are low stress, and we leave work where it belongs- at work! We live simply, and that's how we like it. We are adults, taking care of ourselves just fine, I just don't understand why we are so embarrassing. My cousin and his wife spent so frivolously after getting married, they went from a few thousand in student loan debts to the verge of declaring bankruptcy in 3 years. One cousin works for a big law firm, and I wouldn't be shocked if he's doing something a little more than unethical to advance as fast as he has past more qualified people (he couldn't even pass the bar!). My husband gets the brunt of the negativity, since he is the man of the house. He's not selling crack to kids, he works a honest, normal job. My family has done many shameful things over many generations, I don't think the guy who is hard working and tries his best to always do the right thing is the problem here. It just makes me so angry we can't be seen by their friends. .I'm tired of their bulls***, and I'm thinking this really is the final straw, and we will probably just cut contact with them. This has been going on for years, and I'm just so fed up. I mean, what would you do with a family like this? It's not my parents, it's my aunts and uncles and cousins. Over my entire life, none of us have ever really gotten along anyways, I just don't see any point in talking to these people anymore. My moms side is very close, and not part of the problem, but my dads side, I just don't care about. What would you do?

19 years old, am I a loser?

Hello Yahoo Answers. So I just have a simple question to ask all of you, do you think I'm a loser? Here's the low down on myself. I graduated high school last year (2010) and decided to take a year off to save money for college and just relax. However things didn't go as smoothly as I thought they would. You see, first of all this job I work at hasn't been going well. I began working at this place (a movie-theater) just before graduation and since day 1 no one has liked me there. In fact, I seem to be scaring both my co-workers and the customers/guests away on a daily basis. Now I have made an effort to find another job, but I have largely been unsuccessful and thus I'm unhappy to report that I have been scaring my co-workers and other people away for well over a year now. In fact, I think I've developed a sort of social stigma as a lot of people began giving me dirty looks in my community/neighborhood (this movie-theater is just a few blocks away from home. I've also had people yell obscenities at me when I walk down the street). I only work part time and hours fluctuate from nothing to well over 20 per week. I also still live with my parents, but I'm planning on pursuing a 4 year degree starting this fall (hooray 3 months!). I don't get out much and I only see my friends every so often. I also play a lot of video games. I'm currently doing some job hunting on craigslist as that seems to garner better results. I will quit my current job before college starts. What should I major in for pre-med?

I am having a hard time deciding between history and biology. I've always been an average to good student in the sciences in high school, and feel like I could use the biology instruction for a "refresher", but at the same time I know history will be easier and probably more enjoyable for me. I also dont want to be in college for an extended period of time, fulfilling both history major requirements and pre-med requirements. Will it extend my time in college by too long? Should I just major in biology? I also plan to take classes during summer and winter sessions whenever I can. 0ver this summer ive gone lazy due to high work load and vast quantities of food. my upper body hasent gone through much weakness. i still have energy when needed..but my knees..oh lordy. more specifically my left knee. behind the kneecap it hurts to extend i push my kneecap down alittle i hear the popping and pain. my other knees fine. i wanna do some serious running and squats so i dont c completely let go.. but would that help cure the pain and weakness of my knee. it feels like its ready to just snap if i didnt have two legs.. can intense excercise cure it? i know obviously if i lost a few pounds its less stress on my knees..but it will still be weak wouldint it. what are my options

You cannot glue the crack together cause the wood is so old and has dried and shrunk. Apply some glue to the bottom to seal the crack and prevent further separation. Now stain your top. To get a good finish on the top, use Marine Spar Varnish cut 3 parts varnish to 2 parts mineral spirits. This makes a thinner, easier to spread finish without leaving brush marks. Lightly sand and apply three coats. You will end up with a glass smooth finish on the top.

all coloring fades. i dyed my friend's hair black with the garnier fructis dye. it smelled good and came out a wonderful shade of black. i would suggest using a semi-permanent black when you notice fading and for an in-between coloring (im not positive but i think nice and easy is semi permanent) the semi-permanent wont damage your hair as bad as a permanent hair color would for touch ups and fading. also for dark hair you have to use shampoo and conditioners made for colored hair. another tip: curling and straightening you hair makes the color fade faster.

How can I get my boyfriend to still be a partner to me when he has his daughter?

My boyfriend is recently divorced and has two daughters, the 12 year old has not spoken to him since the divorce, the ten year old comes to our house one weeknight, and every other weekend. I have a daughter that is also 10, who has Autism. My problem is that when his daughter comes to our house there is no 'us.' When she is here he is literally attatched to her hip permanently. I cook, and do all the usual household things just as I always would, but he fixes her plate, cleans it, lays on the floor with her for hours holds her hand everywhere we go...etc. I am very left out and so is my daughter. I have tried to bond with his daughter and it woked in the beginning, when I was setting up her area of the house, getting her a pet, and things like that, but now I can't get anywhere with her, not even this past weekend with Father's Day as my suggestion for us to buy or make something for him! When she is here there is absolutely no time for adult conversation, intimacy beyond a peck which he says "but I always make sure to kiss you and check on you." But because his daughter is always right there she is staring right at me when he does this and he can't understand why I act stiff when he kisses me. He has even asked her for 1 minute to be with me and she tugs and wrestles with him and says "your minute is up." I just turn to my daughter and try to ignore it when this happens. She has also begun sulking at outings in order to garner his full attention. The first instance was my daughter's birthday party which I made sure to include her in, even used a theme she liked. He ended up seperate from the guests playing catch with her for 70% of the party. Here's where my issue is: his behavior. I do not blame the child, she is experiencing feelings that she has trouble dealing with and expressing from the divorce and from her father's relationship with me. He however, feels guilt and way overcompensates with her. He justifies his behavior by saying he doesn't get to see her everyday, but there is a healthy way to have a relationship with a non-custodial parent, and this is not it. If it is this bad now her teenage years will be hell, on all of us. I am not trying to take his time with her away, but we are living together and he says he wants to be with me forever. But he doen't try to work toward us being a family. He lives with me, and spends every day that his daughter is not with him obsessed with calling her, then when he has her he disappears, he's here in body, but might as well be in another state. To add to the mess, his divorce states that his daughter cannot be in the same house with anyone not related by blood or marriage from 8pm to 8am so they have to sleep at a grandparent;s house. He already pays over half his income in child support and medical costs monthly so he has no money to amend the divorce. This sleeping arrangement makes the whole thing even more of a mess (it's my dad they stay with, which I arranged so he wouldn't lose overnight visitation). I have done everything I can to make this work and I am the doormat. He did buy me a ring, which I wear always, and he has never discussed this with his daughter, which def does not help. Is there no hope that he will ever be able to manage to be a Dad and a partner at the same time? I'm losing patience and hope It is not easy s not easy to find any guy willing to accept my daughter and the lifetime responsibilty she brings, I am afraid I am settling because I fear that as I get older and my daughter becomes more 'obvious' in her autistic traits I will have no hope. I fiddled with partitions and now i cant run my netbook.?

okay so im trying to install windows xp from a usb because i have a netbook. i also wanted to allocate some more space for the C: drive because it was using 40gb of space and my D: had 100gb. so i deleted both of the partitions i saw. now when i create both partitions i try to go to the install thing in the menu and it says do you want to format? i put yes then after the windows xp professional set up screen it basically says i dont have enough space. and then it says setup was unable to locate such a drive with the required amount of free space. and when i hit enter it reboots my pc. what am i doing wrong? how do i create the partitions to where i can have more in my C drive or atleast getting my computer back to running again? am i suppose to make a extended? i just want my c drive and d drives back. i also tried making the drive active. please help i just want my netbook to run again.

Losing 3 lbs a week but increasing strength? PLEASE HELP!?

I weigh around 155 and would like to go down to 133. I had a plan on running 4 miles before breakfast which would be 450 calories burned. Going to wrestling practice burn around 300 calories while getting on my stationary bike in the afternoon i can burn another 400-500 calories. In total it would be around 1200 calories burned daily along with the 2100 my body burns from just living. The Grand total burned would be around 3,300 calories. I plan on eating Peanut butter sandwiches for breakfast along with my protein shake which would garner around 500 calories. For lunch i can eat chicken soups or salads, with water. I plan on getting around 800-900 calories with this meal. And for dinner I plan on eating a bowl of cereal which would be around 300 calores. I plan on eating 1700 calories a day while burning 3300 which equates to 1600 Calories burned daily. I would also lift weights 4 or 5 times a week. Does this seem like a good diet plan? any changes i should consider?

About 6 months ago I was refered to a Physio for my wrists by my Doc. After 4 months, my wrist came good and we have found out we have the same friends and have the same social attitudes. Then I told my Physio about my shoulder pain and started work on the shoulder once a week for the last months. So I am on my back with nothing but compression wear pant. So the only way not to see the revealing rise in my pant is to be blind. While laying on my back she rub my shoulder for about the same time it took for the rise to go down. She start telling my something about my skin being easy to faring, but I have still got my head clouded with what just happen. She tell my came into the bathroom to look in the mirror so she could better explain. She enter first into a room not very big. I am thinking should I make a move but I could not bring myself to look her in the eyes fearing that "IT OK CAME AND PULL MY CLOSE TO YOU, look. Plumbers and DIY ers help! Leaky Cabrio washer: Do I need a new drain pump?

I have a whirlpool cabrio no agitator toploading washer. It has begun to leak. I took off the back and watched it empty. There is water coming out of two slightly larger than pin size holes located on the top black connector on the drain pump on the back right side. The holes are on the neck about half and inch down from the clamp. Is it patchable or do I need to replace the whole pump?

Okay well my friend has this curling iron and it's the stick kind with no clamp. She did my hair for me and I absolutely loved it! <3 So I wanted to get the same type of curler that she has, but then I tried to curl my hair with mine (the clamp one) but I didnt use the clamp. I have never bought individual parts before so purchasing a front derailleur is foreign territory to me. I have been looking and I see you can get a braze-on, or ones with a a 32mm or 35mm clamp. No clue what this all means so could someone help me out. I will be putting the groupset on my 2011 full carbon cannondale synapse or my scott CR1, what front derailleur will work best with me set up and bike. Hi , I just bought a Schumacher Fleet multi- amp battery charger/starter from a friends wife ( friend has passed away,that's why im asking here) I know that he used it over the winter so it does work but the problem is that the red and black plastic/rubber boots that are on most charger clamp handles have fallen off and i don't know which one is positive or negative..there isn't a + or - where the cables go into the machine but i can see where the wires are crimped at the clamps and one has 3 wires and the other appears to be a single wire,any idea which one is pos and which one is neg ?? Parents won't let me grow up?

I'm the oldest child of a younger brother who is 15, my brother was born with an extremely rare condition that ended up with having 21 operations. My mom was frequently at the hospital with him during my childhood, I don't think we ever got to fully bond...I'm 17 now, girl and entering my senior year this upcoming fall..however my mom isn't letting me grow up, at all. I'm a good kid, never did anything illegal, always got good grades not a lot of friends, no boyfriend etc...I got my license in December, which I paid most of by myself. I had 3 jobs already, all in which had good reasons to quit (the companies were doing something against the law). I have a goof amount of money to buy my first car but my mom won't let me even talk about it. And whenever I bring it up (I'm a gear head) it ends up in a physical fight, she starts it. My extended family is on my side thankfully, but my mom honestly really doesn't like me...she doesnt care about my well being, my emotions, my friend troubles, my future, grades or mentality...all she does seem to care about is my anxiety and ADHD medication when it needs to be refilled. And whenever she does mention my name she is talking bad about me to her family, friends and co workers. I want to see a therapist, because I have no one that believes in me or wants to be with me. I cant even drive myself anywhere.. So I take my rusty bike and hide my face so no one sees me and I pretend I'm driving a car..it's that pathetic..I need help, I don't want to live with people who don't trust me. I hate myself so much, my mom was right I am a failure.

So I'm 15 and I've been out of school for a while now with CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome). It's been rough but on June 1st I started getting migraines. They're in different places every time and different kinds of pains. I get one every day. The doctor said it was a migraine cycle? But right now on top of all my muscles being sore my head is killing me. I'm sitting here with ice packs on both sides of my head tied on by a scarf and I'm wearing sunglasses because my eyes hurt. I took 2 advil PMs but they're not working yet. I'm going to the doctor's tomorrow to gent an EKG so they can prescribe me some kind of pain meds but in the mean time what can I do! It feels like there's a clamp on my head!!!!

Do I have to repaint my house?

So a friend and I did peyote and mdma yesterday and ended up painting the front facade of my house. As much as I love the job we did, I'm worried that someone will file a complaint with the city, forcing me to paint over our art. Is this something that one needs a permit for? What is this Weird Saltwater Fish I cought?!?!?

In a creek in Gautier Mississippi I threw my cast net and this fish i caught was swimming around with the shad. He is no bigger than a shad and is the shape of an oval going up and down . He has one yellow eye on each side and has some brown spots on one side along with silver, but completely silver on the other, leading me to believe he lays on the bottom but I dont know. on the bottom and top there are LONG fin like things extending, and they are clumped so the look like a string of hair. He also has a standard tail fin shaped like a sideways V. and on the the bottom and top leading up to the hair like fins are standard fins covering from the tail to the hair fins. His mouth is lower down, not in the middle like most fish, so imaging an eye in the normal place for a fish, and than a slope outwards until we reach his mouth near the bottom, his gills come from right below his mouth, to above his eye. Well, let's see. I used to drink a lot up until about late April this year, ever since about 2 years ago. I'd drink a lot, and get extremely drunk at least two or three days a week. I would usually try to drink an actual alcoholic beverage, like something my dad had bought, but if he didn't get drunk enough for me to take a lot without him noticing, I would resort to listerine.(I am aware that alcohol found in mouth wash is not suitable for ingestion.) So, anyway, about a year and a half ago, in 11th grade, I'd started coughing up blood. I was too afraid to tell my dad at first, just because he would just get mad about how inconvenient it was because we really couldn't afford to get me treated. So, I left it unchecked. Now for my symptoms.. Well, there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to when I cough up blood. I never actually vomit blood, just cough it up. It's extremely painful in my lower sternum, and a (comparatively) weak pain in my obliques.(For a point of reference, my obliques hurt like I tore a muscle, and the lower sternum pain is far worse.) If I'm coughing up blood, it's difficult for me to even stand, and if I resist coughing up blood, it hurts far worse. I usually cough up blood 2-3 days a week, sometimes 4, but it happens a lot during those days. It's usually while I'm in school, as well, and so I usually end up swallowing the blood because spitting it out or something to that effect would garner unnecessary attention. If I do end up getting seen in school, I usually make up some stupid excuse like I bit my lip open, and I actually proceed to bite my lip open if it's a teacher who sends me to the nurse. It's usually a dark red blood, although sometimes it's bright and pinkish.. uh.. what else.. Oh, if I get hit in my lower sternum, it causes a lot of pain followed by coughing up blood. I haven't been hit lower than that with much force, so I'm not sure if any lower would do anything. I don't really think it's an ulcer, because there's never been any blood in my stool, but I'm sort of hoping that's all it is. I don't know. Do any of you? Thanks in advance.

Looking for direction for a 6 month tourist visa to the USA..?

.. even though I live in a country that is covered by a 90 day waiver tourist visa, I cannot apply for an extended stay for another 90 days on this visa. What and where is the visa form I do need to fill in for a total of a 6 month/180 day stay? I do not need a work visa at this time as I have funds to cover a 6 month stay. I am curious as to whether or not any of you women met loser men such as myself like this when you were working your undergraduate degree? I am one of those male/non-traditional college students who is a loser because I didn't come from an affluent family who would help me to go to college directly out of high school. I am just curious if you females out there ran into any of these creepy guys like myself when you were in college? I am in my late 20s and I REFUSE to let anyone know that I was in the military. You can do it anyway but I really suggest that you don't. I had a friend that did hers with a kit and it was pretty much clean and stuff but navel piercings are the hardest to keep clean and the easiest to get infected. It also can be very dangerous to you if it gets badly enough infected. She ended up having to go to the doctor and getting a shot and stuff...definitely not worth it at all. If you really want one that bad...the smart thing to do is get it professionally done. Besides it doesn't really cost that much to get it done (mine was only $25). Anyway, good luck!
