What is the best store bought hair dye? (BLACK)?

all coloring fades. i dyed my friend's hair black with the garnier fructis dye. it smelled good and came out a wonderful shade of black. i would suggest using a semi-permanent black when you notice fading and for an in-between coloring (im not positive but i think nice and easy is semi permanent) the semi-permanent wont damage your hair as bad as a permanent hair color would for touch ups and fading. also for dark hair you have to use shampoo and conditioners made for colored hair. another tip: curling and straightening you hair makes the color fade faster.
